In the book of Genesis, we read about Esau—Isaac and Rebekah’s first-born son—trading his birthright to accommodate his momentary pleasures (in this case, his stomach). By giving up his birthright, Esau gave up his right to serve God as a priest, along with a double portion of his father’s inheritance (Deuteronomy 21:17).

The Great Distraction

I believe we are experiencing one of the most significant periods of distraction in modern history. It’s happening right in front of us, and we’re not cluing in. We are inundated with news, ideas, emotions, ideologies, and data. Social media, politics, economics, and conspiracy occupy our minds at an alarming rate. Each day we become more polarized in our viewpoints about what is true and what is false. Many of us have been thrown into a state of confusion and have become completely oblivious to what is actually happening.

Who Is This Jesus?

“What just happened? We should be dead right now.”

They sat there trembling, overcome with fear.

The day started out like any other day. The sun rose and the twelve of them made their way to the beach. Little did they know that everyone else was going to the beach that day too. Crowds of people had come to hear their Leader speak—so many that He had to leave the shore and sit in a boat so that He could continue to teach.

#100BillionX [VIDEO]

So Will I (100 Billion X) is a powerful Hillsong UNITED song written by Benjamin Hastings, Joel Houston, and Michael Fatkin. The lyrics of the song resonate so deeply with me, revealing God's majesty through His amazing creation. Back in August, I was on my way to work listening to 100 Billion X at an inhumane decibel level, when I had an idea.

Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone-while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? - Job 38:4-7 NIV
